The first ODI between India and Pakistan since the last World Cup four years ago ended in a no-result but not before both the teams teased a great contest in the one innings possible. As a result of the washout, Pakistan’s progress to the Super Fours was confirmed.The Pakistan fast bowlers lived up to their billing, running through India’s top order in helpful conditions, but Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya rescued India from 66 for 4 with reassuring 80s only for the fast bowlers to come back and keep them down to 266 after they had looked good to go beyond 300 during the 138-run fifth-wicket stand.Having already lost 53 minutes to two rain breaks during the first innings, any more rain was going to result in loss of overs. As it tends to happen with such scores, the adjusted DLS targets appear to favour the defending side for small stoppages and then the chasing side as the duration of the match gets closer to 20 overs.After the uneasy wait for the rain to stop, it turned out neither side needed worry because the rain had persisted long enough for both sides to walk away with the noble draw.There was enough cricket to talk about and marvel at, though. All during this mayhem, it was clear India wanted to counterattack at all times. Only Shubman Gill stayed away from playing a shot in anger. After a scratchy innings, he played on a full ball that seamed away at Rauf’s pace. You can’t do much when that happens.By that time, Kishan had already made his way to 15 off 13 including an upper-cut six off Rauf. Pandya, too, hit the first ball he played for four. It was not reckless hitting, but it was apparent India didn’t want to go into their shell even at four down and with a long tail.Once the three first bowlers were done, a weakness in the Pakistan squad began to show up. Both their allrounders and all their part-time bowlers are spinners. Most sides aim for three strike bowlers and one allrounder who can bowl seam. In the middle overs, in conditions that called for more pace, Pakistan didn’t have the services of a fourth quick.Babar Azam eschewed the adventure of continuing on with a fast bowler for too long in search of wickets and then risk leaving himself a spinner to bowl at death. It was a conservative call, and the two batters scored easily off spin, especially with Shadab Khan missing his length often.As the innings approached the 40th over, both the batters began to put pressure back on the bowlers, taking advantage of the extra fielder inside the circle. Eventually, Pakistan had to go back to Rauf. Kishan, nearing a century but also struggling with what looked like a cramp, perhaps began to play too many shots lest his running slow down the innings. One of them flew off the toe end to end his knock at 82 off 81. However, it was not before Kishan presented himself as a candidate in the middle order even if KL Rahul was fit.Pandya displayed his batting skill as reminder of the time when he was considered a lock in the middle order even if not fit enough to bowl. Without taking any risks, he scored his first 30 at a run a ball before falling second fiddle to Kishan. However, towards the end he accelerated, scoring 31 off the last 20 balls he faced. He fell short of a century by 13 runs, having been deceived by an Afridi slower ball.Naseem Shah, who was arguably the best bowler without wickets to show for until then, took out the last three wickets to restrict India.

وفي رسالة مفتوحة نشرها عبر الموقع الرسمي، توجّه الخليفي بالشكر إلى كل من ساهم في النجاحات الأخيرة، من إداريين ولاعبين وجهاز فني، وعلى رأسهم المدرب لويس إنريكي، مشيدًا بالروح الجماعية التي ميّزت الفريق هذا الموسم.

وافتتح الخليفي رسالته بموقع باريس سان جيرمان الرسمي، قائلاً: “عزيزاتي، أعزائي، بينما تُختتم أكثر المواسم التي لا تُنسى في تاريخنا، أود أن أوجّه شكرًا كبيرًا لعائلة باريس سان جيرمان بأكملها”.

مضيفًا: “اليوم، عندما نسترجع أحداث هذا الموسم، قد ننسى بسهولة مدى صعوبته، فقد كان مليئًا بالمنافسات، أُقيمت في عدة بلدان، وعلى أعلى المستويات، وفي مجموعات صعبة، ومع مسارات من بين الأصعب”.

واستطرد: “لكن، وبفضل روحنا الجماعية، وبقتالنا اليومي من أجل النادي ومن أجل بعضنا البعض، سيظل هذا الموسم الأجمل على الإطلاق في تاريخ باريس سان جيرمان”.

وتابع الخليفي: “الفوز بلقبنا الأول في دوري أبطال أوروبا، مع ثاني أصغر فريق يتم إشراكه على الإطلاق في هذا الدور من البطولة، وهو كذلك أصغر فريق في تاريخ باريس سان جيرمان، وبأسلوب لعب نال إعجاب المحللين في جميع أنحاء العالم، سيبقى محفورًا في سجلات كرة القدم إلى الأبد”.

وأكد: “هذا الإنجاز يضاف إلى انتصاراتنا في الدوري الفرنسي، وكأس فرنسا، وكأس الأبطال، دون أن ننسى الأداء الاستثنائي لفرقنا في كرة اليد، والجودو، وكرة القدم النسائية، ومركز التكوين، والرياضات الإلكترونية، وكذلك 26 من رياضيينا المشاركين في أولمبياد باريس 2024”.

وأشار إلى منافسات كأس العالم للأندية: “هذا الشهر، في الولايات المتحدة، كانت طموحاتنا بالطبع هي أن نُتوج أبطالًا للعالم، في ختام مشوار كان مرة أخرى استثنائيًا، وشهد انتصارات على بعض من أكبر الأندية في العالم”.

وأستدرك: “لكن، وبعد موسم طويل كهذا، يمكننا أن نكون فخورين للغاية بما حققه لاعبونا وجهازنا الفني من الوصول إلى نهائي البطولة على الساحة العالمية”.

وأصر الخليفي: “جميع هذه النجاحات هي ثمرة عمل كل من شارك في هذا المشروع، من رؤساء، ولاعبين، ومدربين، ومديرين رياضيين، وموظفين سابقين، واليوم، أود أن أخص بالشكر قطاع كرة القدم لدينا، وجميع العاملين، وشركاءنا، ومدربنا الاستثنائي لويس إنريكي، وجنودنا لاعبونا، الذين يدافعون كل يوم عن هذا الكيان ويقاتلون من أجل النادي في كل مباراة، سواء داخل الملعب أو خارجه”.

FLAMENGO DEVENDO EM TODOS SENTIDOS

O time que Dorival Júnior mandou a campo não se encontrou em campo. Desde o início, a dificuldade na transição do Flamengo ficou clara, com Erick, Diego e Victor Hugo pouco participativos. Assim, a ligação entre defesa e ataque teve que ser na base do lançamento, o que facilitou o trabalho do Ceará, que defendeu com as linhas baixas.

Além da questão tática, o Flamengo também ficou devendo em termos de intensidade e na parte técnica. Quando conseguiu aproximar-se da área rival, foram muitos erros, que impediram a equipe de criar chances. Ao fim de 45 minutos, só um chute certo.

JÔ APROVEITA BRECHA E ABRE O PLACAR!

A proposta do Ceará, por outro lado, era clara: primeiro defender-se, depois atacar. O time do estreante Lucho González também não fez um grande primeiro tempo, mas saiu em velocidade algumas vezes.

Já aos 45, o contra-ataque foi perfeito, com Mendoza lançado pela esquerda e partindo para cima de Erick. Na entrada da área, Jô recebeu livre de marcação e bateu de primeira, sem chance para Santos, e abriu o placar. Foi o primeiro gol do atacante pelo Vozão.

MUDANÇAS E RESPOSTA IMEDIATA

Diante da atuação ruim, Dorival fez logo quatro substituições no intervalo. Entraram Matheuzinho, Vidal, Everton Ribeiro e Pedro, e a resposta foi imediata. O Flamengo começou pressionando o Ceará. Aos sete, no escanteio cobrado por Cebolinha e desviado por Richard, a bola ofereceu-se para Gabi, que, quase em cima da linha, empatou.

O time foi empurrado pela torcida para cima do Ceará, mas, apesar da melhora visível, seguia com problemas, e correndo riscos no contra-ataque. O jogo ficou aberto, com o campo aberto para os dois times, até que Jô, em reclamação acintosa com o árbitro, foi expulso.

MUITA RECLAMAÇÃO, POUCO JOGO E NADA DE GOL

A paralisação por conta da expulsão de Jô foi a primeira de muitas até o final do jogo. Os dois times reclamaram demais, cresceram para cima do árbitro e, os últimos 15 minutos da partida, foram de pouco futebol e muitas faltas. O Ceará também abusou da cera em cada oportunidade – o que irritou os jogadores e torcedores do Flamengo.

Assim, com o jogo picotado, o time de Dorival não chegou a pressionar o Ceará. A grande chance, já aos 44, foi com Cebolinha arriscando de fora da área, mas a bola beliscou o travessão e saiu. Definitivamente, a bola não voltaria a balançar a rede do Maracanã.

No fim, também por reclamação, o atacante Gabigol foi expulso.

Liam Dawson moved to 45 LV= Insurance County Championship wickets with his fourth five-wicket haul of the season to delay Surrey’s title confirmation.Left-arm spinner Dawson has had his best batting season since 2015 and best-ever bowling campaign as his 5 for 44 kept Surrey waiting in their quest to squash last contenders Essex.Sai Sudharsan had led Surrey’s batting with an exceptional 73 before Jordan Clark came in and struck 50 not out.Surrey were eventually bowled out for 207, 93 runs short of winning the crown, and a 12-run deficit to Hampshire, which was increased by one in a truncated 20 balls before bad light ended proceedings for the day.Surrey needed to get to 300 in 110 overs to make sure they claimed the bonus points required to be confirmed champions for a second year in a row.They began the day on 47 for 2, replying to Hampshire’s 219, and by the time Ryan Patel had hoicked to deep midwicket off Dawson, they had only added 13 more runs in 53 minutes. It would be Patel’s last action of the match as Jamie Smith will come in for him for the third innings of the match.Getting to that 300 mark quickly was clearly not the priority – with winning the match and lifting the trophy on a high prominently mentioned by Tom Lawes the previous evening.Hampshire’s tidy bowling didn’t help the run rate, neither did Ben Foakes taking 36 balls to get off the mark and even then, it was only a misfield that helped him move from a blob. Natural de Guarulhos, município da grande São Paulo, a revelação do futebol brasileiro defendeu o Timão entre os 11 e 13 anos, deixando a equipe alvinegra após o período por conta da mudança da sua família para a cidade de Itu, no interior de São Paulo.

Com a camisa corintiana, o jogador marcou 73 gols em 139 jogos e era tido como uma joia, mas a distância entre São Paulo e Itu atrapalhou a continuidade da então revelação na equipe alvinegra. As cidades ficam afastadas em torno de 115 km e, para seguir no Timão, Gabriel Martinelli teria um trajeto diário de cerca de cinco horas, desconsiderando o fluxo de trânsito.

Na época, o garoto atuava como centroavante, vestia a camisa 9 e tinha como referências Ronaldo Fenômeno e Carlos Tévez. Naquele momento, ele já despertava olhares em clubes europeus para realizar períodos de treinamentos e intercâmbio.

Com a mudança para Itu, Martinelli se transferiu para o Ituano, onde fez o restante da formação e se profissionalizou em 2018. Quando completou 18 anos, em 2019, o jogador se transferiu para o Arsenal, rendendo ao Galo Altaneiro algo em torno de R$ 30 milhões.

CARREIRA NA INGLATERRA

Na sua quarta temporada pelos Gunners, o atacante soma 95 jogos, 22 gols marcados e 13 assistências. Só nesta temporada são 11 partidas, tendo balançado a rede quatro vezes e com dois passes diretos para gols.

A boa fase na Europa credencia o jogador à chance de defender a Seleção Brasileira na Copa do Mundo do Qatar, que será realizada entre novembro e dezembro. Foram duas convocações pelo técnico Tite, ambas neste ano, e três jogos disputados – um amistoso contra o Japão e duas partidas das eliminatórias para o Mundial, contra Bolívia e Chile.

O atacante também esteve no plantel medalhista de ouro nos Jogos Olímpicos de Tóquio, disputado no ano passado.

Neste fim de semana, Martinelli foi fundamental para o triunfo no clássico diante do Liverpool, no Emirates Stadium, em Londres, que recolocou o Arsenal na liderança do campeonato inglês.

Com menos de um minuto de partida, o brasileiro abriu o placar, após receber bom passe de Odegaard. Além disso, ele deu assistência para Saka marcar o segundo da equipe londrina no triunfo por 3 a 2.

A informação foi revelada primeiramente pelo portal ‘UOL Esportes’ e confirmada pelo LANCE!. Os bancos utilizados para esses empréstimos seriamDaycoval, Tricury e Rendimento.

Se forem aprovados, o São Paulo chegará a 11 empréstimos aprovados nesta temporada. Ainda de acordo com o ‘UOL’, o valor de todos estes empréstimos giraria em torno dos R$35 milhões.

O banco Daycoval realizaria um empréstimo de R$ 4,8 milhões, que vence em dezembro deste ano. Como garantia, o São Paulo conta com o dinheiro de Marquinhos, vendido ao Arsenal recentemente.

Por parte do banco Rendimento, o contrato vence em março de 2023, com um valor de R$ 5 milhões. Por fim, o banco Tricury emprestará R$ 9 milhões, vencendo em fevereiro. Para este, o valor de Rigoni pela venda ao Austin FC, dos Estados Unidos, será a garantia.

ووفقًا لصحيفة “لو باريزيان” الفرنسية، فإنها تواصلت مع مصدر داخل نادي مارسيليا لمعرفة حقيقة التفكير في التعاقد مع نيمار لتدعيم الفريق خلال المرحلة المقبلة.

النادي الفرنسي رد ردًا شديد اللهجة معلنًا أن “هذا الكلام عار تمامًا من الصحة”، فاللاعب السابق لنادي باريس سان جيرمان لن يكون في حسابات مارسيليا للموسم الحالي أو المقبل، فهو ليس من ضمن خطط النادي.

There are 15 English players involved in the WBBL, with at least one in every club.Players who are not involved in the WBBL will acclimatise for the tour with a warm-weather training camp in Oman from mid-November. “It was a brutal season,” Cross said. “At the back end of it I was really quite tired but I’m ready to go again now: I’ve been champing at the bit to pick a ball up again.”England’s women last played a Test in India in 2005, and India has only staged one women’s Test in the 18 years since: an innings win for India over South Africa in 2014. Two years ago, India women played their first Tests since, drawing in England and Australia.”I’m always crying out to play more Test cricket,” Cross said. “I love it, and I want to play more of it, play in different conditions and test my skills. It challenges your basic skills and that’s something I pride myself on: what I can provide for a team is my repeatability and hopefully a bit of consistency with the ball.”England have played more regularly than India over the last decade, playing nine Tests in that time – but none in Asia. Earlier this month, a group of batters including Alice Capsey and Sophia Dunkley travelled to Mumbai for a camp led by head coach Jon Lewis, which focused on their batting against spin.The series will be India’s first with Amol Muzumdar, the former Rajasthan Royals batting coach and Mumbai men’s head coach, at the helm. وكان نادي الهلال قد أعلن انسحابه رسميًا من البطولة قبل أيام قليلة فقط من انطلاقها، بداعي الحفاظ على جاهزية لاعبيه بعد موسم مزدحم بالبطولات، كان آخرها مشاركته في كأس العالم للأندية.

ووفقا لصحيفة اليوم السعودية، فإن نادي الهلال، سيطلب الاستئناف ضد العقوبات الصادرة ضده، خاصة وأن هناك عدد من العقوبات الكبرى، تم توقيعها عليه ويرغب النادي في تخفيفها.

ومن المقرر أن يشارك الأهلي في البطولة بدلاً من الهلال، بعد أن وافق على خوض النسخة القادمة، وستكون المباراة الأولى أمام القادسية في الدور نصف النهائي من بطولة كأس السوبر السعودي.
