ATUAÇÕES: Rodrigão e Lucas Lima comandam o baile do Santos

Confira as notas do LANCE!:

SANTOS

6,5
Vanderlei
Contribuiu no segundo gol do Linense. No primeiro tempo, praticamente,
assistiu a partida. E, na segunda etapa, executou duas boas defesas.

6,5
Victor Ferraz
Cavou faltas e provocou o cartão amarelo de Zé Antônio. Teve duas

6,0
Lucas Veríssimo
Falhou no gol do Linense. Deu espaço para Thiago Santos driblar, invadir
a área e finalizar.

6,5
Renato
Mais uma atuação segura do volante. Sempre apoiando a defesa, o ídolo

7,5
Vitor Bueno

ataque.Ainda fez boa jogada aos 39 minutos do primeiro tempo.

8,5
Rodrigão
Incansável no primeiro tempo. Em noite inspirada, o atacante balançou
as redes duas vez. Ainda perdeu a chance de ampliar a contagem…

7,5
Arthur Gomes
Entrou no lugar do Rodrigão e mostrou habilidade ao receber o
lançamento de Lucas Lima, pedalar e marcar o quarto gol santista.

6,5

com Victor Ferraz, mandou a bola no ângulo do goleiro Edson Kolln.

7,0

3,5
Caique
Perdido em meio à volúpia do meio-campo santista. Só correu atrás.

4,0
Diego Felipe
Muito combate na marcação. Foi o recordista de desarmes.

3,5

4,5
Thiago Santos
Inteligente no lance do gol. No mais, só buscou espaços em vão.

4,5
Tássio
Pouco apareceu em campo.

5,0
Gabrielzinho

La Liga expert: Arsenal target Jules Kounde is special

Sevilla defender and Arsenal target Jules Kounde is a “pretty special” player, La Liga expert Euan McTear has told The Transfer Tavern.

£54m-rated Kounde is currently attracting plenty of interest, with Arsenal said to be one team who are keen on signing the 22-year-old this summer.

According to Marca (via the Daily Express), the north London club could launch a bid for Kounde as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his defence, though they could face competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United.

Wherever he ends up if he does decide to leave Sevilla this summer, McTear is confident that club would be getting quite the centre-half.

“He’s only gotten better this season, especially in the Champions League. He’s had some good performances there, too,” the Spanish football expert said.

“He’s still so young, he’s got energy, great positioning too. All the centre-backs, not just in Spain I think, but if you look around Europe, he’s got to be one of the highest prospects.

“To be playing for France who have countless centre-backs, if he’s able to get himself into that group, then, yeah, he’s pretty special.”

Looking at McTear’s assessment, and considering the fact that Arsenal have just lost David Luiz, Kounde seems like he would be a good signing for the Gunners.

If Chelsea and Manchester United are both interested in the Frenchman, though, both able to offer Champions League football, it is hard to see Arteta pulling this one off.

Fleming injury concern as Wellington struggle

No national selectors were at the Basin Reserve on the first day of the State Championship match between Wellington and Northern Districts today but they will receive despatches from the ground, notes on form, which they will read with mixed pleasure

Steve McMorran04-Mar-2002No national selectors were at the Basin Reserve on the first day of the State Championship match between Wellington and Northern Districts today but they will receive despatches from the ground, notes on form, which they will read with mixed pleasure and anxiety. They will read first and at greatest length of the exploits of Northern all-rounder Scott Styris who, as an omnipresent figure throughout this first day, batted and bowled his side into a commanding position by the time stumps were drawn, in an autumn chill, a few minutes before 7pm.There will be heartening mentions of the form of Ian Butler, the young fast bowler in his first international season, who depleted Wellington’s confidence with a spell of incendiary pace on a seaming wicket and left them ripe for Styris’ later harvest of three wickets. They will hear that Chris Nevin, who has some claims to the disputed wicket-keeping position for the Tests against England, had a tidy day behind the stumps and claimed three catches, none of them routine, during Northern’s first innings of 185. It will be less to their liking that Nevin was out for 0 as Wellington was reduced to 81/6 at stumps by Butler’s virulent pace and Styris’ superb control of length and movement.Of most concern to them will be the news that New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming completed his short but impressive innings of 28 for Wellington with a runner after suffering a troubling injury while running between wickets. The nature of Fleming’s injury had not been confirmed last night. He left the Basin Reserve shortly after the close of play for X-rays, examination and physiotherapy. The first indications were he had damaged a nerve on his left hip.Fleming was clearly troubled by his injury, reduced at times to a shambling run before Richard Jones came out to run for him through the last few balls of his innings. That he stayed at the wicket in spite of his discomfort and given the need to take all precautions to preserve his fitness for the England Test series spoke hugely of his commitment to his new association. When he left the field, trapped lbw by Joseph Yovich when Wellington was 68, Fleming walked away quite briskly and with less apparent deference to his injury. But he was said after the match to be sore and impeded in his movement and that news, most of all, will send a thrill of concern through the selection panel.Styris returned to New Zealand at the end of the CLEAR Black Caps’ tour of Australia probably feeling, though he would not say publicly, that he had been ill-used. He played the first couple of matches and top scored in one before he was neglected as a component of New Zealand’s one-day side. He was eventually superceded in the all-rounder’s role – that of bowler and hard-hitting lower order batsman – by Andre Adams. But Styris said he and Adams were dissimilar players and were not competing for the same place in a New Zealand one-day lineup. Adams, Styris said, was a bowler who bats while he had completed a transition in his career and had reinvented himself as a batsman who bowls. He has batted most of the season for Northern at No 4 and has done so with some success. He batted at No 6 today, coming to the crease when they were 66/4 after lunch, and with steady resolve and increasing aggression, saw them through the last 38 overs of their innings to 185.Styris lacked industrious support at first. He had added only 12 with James Marshall before Marshall was out, for the innings’ second-highest score of 37, in the 45th over and when Northern was 78. Grant Bradburn fell when they were 83, Robbie Hart when they were 90 and Bruce Martin when they were 99.But Styris finally found a partner with stickability when Daryl Tuffey joined him in the 52nd over. Tuffey, who played comfortably and sensibly within his restricted range, stayed at the crease with Styris for 81 minutes and contributed 16 runs to a ninth wicket partnership of 71.Tuffey was out in the 74th over when Northern was 170/9 and Styris managed to add 15 more with Butler before the innings ended. He was finally out, caught by Matthew Bell at mid-on from Mark Gillespie, 13 runs short of the century he had begun to believe he would realise.Northern had been reduced early in their innings to 20/3 through the loss of Matthew Hart for five, Yovich for four and Michael Parlane for two. James and Hamish Marshall joined in a valuable partnership of 46 for the fourth wicket which spanned lunch and set the stage for Styris’ arrival.Styris said batting was difficult early in both innings when the ball was new and seaming but it became simpler after 35 or 40 overs when the ball had aged and behaved more predictably.Wellington found the same thing but to a greater degree when they began their innings. Bell received a seaming delivery from Tuffey – only the second ball of the innings – and edged a catch to Robbie Hart which the Northern keeper put down.Butler took the second over from the Northern end of the ground, bowling with the encouragement of a stiff breeze, and his first ball, to Jones, was like the first shell in a long bombardment. It spat from the pitch and seared like flying shrapnel through Jones half-completed shot. For Jones, it was only a warning of things to come. Butler bowled his first few overs at breathtaking pace and with manifest hostility. It took Fleming to tame him later and to see him briefly removed from the attack. He continued to startle Jones with deliveries which seamed back from outside off stump, which bounced and veered menacingly. He finally cut one back into Jones which beat the inside edge of the extended bat and shattered the stumps. Two balls later, Butler fizzed a ball away from the young left-hander Luke Woodcock and had him caught, from a tentatively proferred outside edge, by the ubiquitous Styris at second slip.Fleming steadied the innings, reacting with an easy calm to the menaces of his young New Zealand team-mate. He scored freely off all bowlers and made the pitch seem a much more placid thing than others had shown it.But Fleming was impeded through much of his innings by his unfortunate injury and he was finally out to a casual and half-hearted shot, lbw to Yovich in the 13th over. His dismissal at 68 signalled a Wellington collapse. Their next three wickets fell for 13 runs in fewer than nine overs, each of them to Styris. He removed James Franklin for three, caught by Robbie Hart, Bell for 21 – he batted 102 minutes – and Nevin for 0, bowling the New Zealand ‘keeper off an inside edge.

Only way is up for Tigers

Excited, pumped and nervous are all words which could describe the feeling of those Tasmanians who made the journey to Brisbane to watch the Tigers try and achieve something never done by a Tasmanian team

Brett Geeves28-Mar-2002Excited, pumped and nervous are all words which could describe the feeling of those Tasmanians who made the journey to Brisbane to watch the Tigers try and achieve something never done by a Tasmanian team. Win a Pura Cup Final!!The Tigers were returning to the ‘Gabba where, last time around, they were humiliated by a rampaging Bulls unit which was not stopping for anyone. There’s no need to give statistics or the times in which they were bowled out and defeated: everyone knows them. After that game, the Tigers’ players knew that there was going to be change amongst the team and squad. But no one would have guessed what was to come.Three long time and well respected players in the team were axed, and the Tasmanian Cricket Association Board made the decision to advertise the job of Head Coach which came as a massive shock to everyone. All Tasmanian cricket followers would have been thinking that it was effectively the end of the Tigers’ season. The Tigers’ squad and coaching staff grew stronger from all the media hype surrounding the failure of the team which had turned it into back and front page news.At the time of the head coaching job being advertised it would have been understandable if the team had dropped their heads and really struggled to finish off the season in a positive manner.Greg Shipperd has been coach of the state for 13 years and, in that time, Greg would have felt like the Tigers team was his family. He has coached players of the calibre of David Boon, Ricky Ponting and newcomer Shane Watson with great success and, with plenty of young talent around the state, there is no doubt Greg still has the ability to coach at the highest level.Greg and the coaching staff showed their professionalism by not letting things get on top of them and, in their work with the squad, made their way through to the Pura Cup Final – an achievement which seemed impossible before Christmas. It was an outstanding effort from all involved in Tasmanian cricket. For me, this amazing turnaround in form gives me hope for my own future in the game. Playing with guys who I know will tough it out in any circumstance and will work with each other and play for each other. That is what team sport is all about. A team of champions will never beat a champion team and, to me, this Tasmanian side is a champion team, and one that I can hopefully break into during upcoming seasons. The future looks bright for Tassie cricket; there is certainly no lack of young talent in the state. Xavier Doherty is definitely a player of the future, having added into his armoury the ball that spins. I have played in three junior carnivals with Xavier and he has shown that he has a good cricketing brain and is more than useful with the bat. His presence, along with left arm chinaman Shannon Tubb, ensures that the spin department will be strong for a long time.Another guy who is an underrated spinner in the state is Scott French. Scott attended the Commonwealth Bank Cricket Academy as a leg spinner and, with some hard work in the off season, would be capable of playing at first-class level.George Bailey is another name of the future. A key part of Australia’s successful Under 19 World Cup team, he showed that he had all the shots of a first-class batsman and, in his ING Cup debut, made another classy 33 runs. I would describe him as a ‘freak’ in the field with the ability to throw with both hands. His reflexes are so good I think he would be able to catch a low flying sparrow.Without doubt, Tasmanian cricket can only go up. The improvement over the last three to four years has been rapid, and it will continue to rise with good pace. If we can keep the same bunch of guys – both players and coaches – it won’t be long until we see Jamie Cox standing on a podium holding a massive cheque and, more importantly, the Pura Cup trophy.Brett Geeves, 19, is a Tasmanian contracted fast bowler and lower order batsman who played six Mercantile Mutual Cup matches for the state in 2000-01. He contracted osteitis pubis in mid-2001 and was forced to miss the 2001-02 interstate season. A former state and national under-19 player, he returned to grade ranks late in the summer and remains one of Tasmania’s most exciting prospects.

Celtic: Ajer unhappy as Hoops reject bids

Kristoffer Ajer is unhappy with Celtic after they rejected two bids in the region of £10m for his services, according to The Athletic.

The Lowdown: Ajer’s contract running down

The 23-year-old, who made 46 appearances for the Hoops last season, is into the final 12 months of his Parkhead deal. The Norwegian recently shared his intentions to leave Celtic Park this summer and move to a top-five league.

The likes of Norwich City, Bayer Leverkusen and Newcastle United have all been linked with the defender, and it now seems as if two of those clubs have made big-money bids for Ajer, considering his situation.

[web_stories_embed url=”https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/web-stories/celtic-updates-7/” title=”Celtic updates” poster=”” width=”360″ height=”600″ align=”none”]

The Latest: Bailey’s post

The Athletic’s Norwich City correspondent Michael Bailey posted a link to a story on Ajer on Twitter, shortly after Ange Postecoglou’s first press conference as Celtic boss had finished.

Within his post, Bailey claimed Ajer is unhappy with how the Hoops are handling his situation, revealing that  both Norwich and Leverkusen have had offers turned down as he stated:

“Kristoffer Ajer unhappy with how Celtic are dealing with this summer. £10m bids rejected from Bayer Leverkusen & Norwich City for CB in the last yr of contract. Not over yet.”

The Verdict: Sell

Should Celtic remain stubborn and Ajer stays at Parkhead for the 2021/22 season, the 23-year-old could end up leaving for nothing this time next year. He will be able to discuss a potential pre-contract agreement in January, so it would make sense for Celtic to accept an offer in the region of £10m over the coming weeks.

That may allow Postecoglou to bring in one or possibly two defensive additions, with Mario Vuskovic and Piero Hincapie two centre-backs who have recently been linked with a move to Glasgow.

O Inter começou a partida melhor, buscando mandar no jogo.

Brandão obrigou Danilo Fernandes a fazer grande defesa.
