The Englishman has been touted as one of the Irons’ top targets for this summer transfer window alongside the signing of a new striker and top centre-half (Claret & Hugh).

However, in case a deal fails to materialise, West Ham have also earmarked West Bromwich Albion ace Matheus Pereira as an alternative signing, according to reports.

Lingard dazzled on loan at the London Stadium from Man United over the second half of 2020/2021, scoring nine goals and assisting four others in 16 Premier League starts – whilst also averaging more shots per 90 in that time than any West Ham player (WhoScored).

However, the move will require a ‘substantial’ bid, with this update prompting mixed responses from Hammers on social media over whether to continue or abandon the chase.

A cifra foi revelada por um levantamento da CBF, que analisou os dados entre março de 2016 e o mesmo mês de 2017. Ao todo, o número de operações registradas com participação de intermediários é de 536.

Os maiores responsáveis pelos pagamentos aos antigos agentes – denominação que foi extinta pela Fifa – são os clubes. O relatório aponta que R$ 21 milhões em comissões foram pagas pelas equipes, enquanto os jogadores foram responsáveis por R$ 3 milhões.

O banco de dados da CBF tem 342 intermediários cadastrados, que são regidos pelos regulamentos criados pela Fifa e pela própria entidade brasileira. Vale lembrar que a CBF acabou, para a atual temporada, com o limite de percentual das comissões recebidas pelos intermediários.

Michael Ball believes Rangers midfielder Joey Veerman may have a verbal agreement which would allow him to leave Heerenveen.

Steven Gerrard is keen to bolster his options ahead of the new Scottish Premiership season getting underway and it is believed that Dutch midfielder Veerman may be available for £7million.

Veerman scored nine goals and contributed 11 assists in 35 appearances for Heerenveen last season.

The Scottish champions are battling it out with Italian side Hellas Verona for Veerman’s signature, while it has also been confirmed Heerenveen have received a bid from an unnamed club.

Veerman is keen to leave the Dutch side and challenge himself overseas. It seems as though the 22-year-old is at war with his current employers though, with Veerman claiming to VI, via the Daily Record, that Heerenveen have priced him out of a switch to Ibrox.

Ball, who played for Rangers and in the Netherlands with PSV Eindhoven during his playing career, reckons an agreement would have been made between Veerman and Heerenveen when he joined from Volendam in 2016.

Speaking exclusively to The Transfer Tavern, former England international Ball said: “A lot of teams in the Netherlands, which I found quite fascinating when I was over there, have a verbal agreement.

“A player says they will go to the football club, they will help them develop and then they’ll move on. The club will get the money while the player goes onto a bigger and better team.

“The fans don’t get on players’ backs when they move on. It’s a different mentality in the Netherlands because the clubs need to sell to keep improving and push money into the academy. It’s like a revolving door.”

Italian football expert Conor Clancy believes highly-rated teenager Aaron Hickey would be interested in sealing a return to Celtic this summer.

Hickey, who enjoyed time in the Scottish giants’ academy, is currently plying his trade at Serie A club Bologna having joined from Hearts last September.

Clancy, the editor of Forza Italian Football, feels being involved in European football could sway Hickey in favour of heading back to Parkhead rather than remaining in Italy.

He exclusively told Football FanCast: “He seems content enough in Italy. But if Celtic come knocking, as a Scottish person, that is a big draw. Obviously, Celtic have more of a possibility of offering European football than Bologna.”
